About
Hey, there! My name is Christina: data scientist, techie, and businesswoman.
I have roughly seven years of experience in data science at institutions such as the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, my first job out of college, and Meta, where I worked as a contractor across Policy and Small Business Sales.
I have an additional three years of experience in operations roles for small businesses. After my most recent small business was impacted by U.S.-wide government funding cuts, I am looking to transition back to the world of economics and policy research.
Amidst this transition, I started this blog to teach and practice economics-informed data science.

Although this blog is focused on data science, it was inspired by a software engineer, Josh Comeau.
Josh has a blog where he writes about various programming languages (e.g., CSS and React), which you can check out for yourself at joshwcomeau.com.
On the surface, learning a programming language might seem boring, but Josh has a special way of writing and breaking down foundational concepts that makes the mundane magical.
In particular, his posts are chock-full of examples and interactive content.
This blog is my attempt to bring that same magic to the field of data science.
